Job summary

Layup Parts in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking a 3rd shift technician to support prepreg composites manufacturing. You will prepare tooling, lay up parts, bag and cure, demold, and finish components while documenting production data and driving process improvements.

The role requires experience reading layup books, working with calipers and torque wrenches, and collaborating with engineering to meet tight production timelines. Competitive shift differential applies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a technician in prepreg composites manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret layup books and process instructions
• Proficiency with measuring and assembly tools (calipers, scales, tape measures, torque wrenches)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain tooling (sand, polish, seal, release, mold maintenance)
• Lay up parts using templates or projection systems
• Bag and cure: vacuum bags, leak tests, cure cycles
• Demold and finish parts, trim and bond
• Provide feedback to engineering for process and design improvements
• Document material usage and production activities in internal systems
