Job summary

CBRE Government and Defense is seeking a Commercial Cleaner for the night shift in Huntsville, AL. This part-time, on-site role focuses on basic cleaning duties such as mopping, sweeping and trash disposal to maintain a clean, safe building environment.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of custodial experience. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work independently, and follow established cleaning procedures while attending routine

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience.
• Experience in facilities, maintenance, custodial, or a similar field preferred.
• No specific certifications required; relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas designated by the supervisor.
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop storage areas, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment including moving and rearranging furniture.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Ensure that cleaning supplies are in a safe, secure area at all times.
• Complete standardized cleaning process as per company standards.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Attend all regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
• Follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
