Job summary

Chobani is hiring a Coffee Roaster to handle roasting materials, cupping analysis, and operation/maintenance of roasters and accessories. The role emphasizes multitasking and a passion for high-quality coffee. Schedule includes 12-hour shifts with 2-2-3 cycle, and flexibility for overtime.

The candidate should have 2+ years roasting and 1 year cupping experience, with proficiency in precise roasting and familiarity with Cropster preferred. Training on GMP/SQF and safety is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of coffee roasting experience with production roasters.
• Minimum 1 year of cupping / sensory analysis.
• Proven ability to roast coffee to precise specifications consistently.
• Experience with Cropster coffee roasting software preferred.
• Industrial equipment operation experience preferred, including forklift.

Responsibilities

• Assist Roasting Manager in receiving green coffee to meet the daily production schedule.
• Participate in blending and weighing roasted coffee while maintaining quality and adhering to visual standards.
• Overseeing and tracking inventory of green coffee beans, bags, and other production materials.
• Develop necessary product knowledge (Coffee names, bag weights, etc).
• Operate grinders, green loaders, and roasters.
• Perform daily maintenance for optimum machine capability on roasters and other roasting accessories.
• Occasionally participate in extensive weekend cleanings of roasting equipment.
• Alert Production managers and head roasters of mechanical issues or changes in production flow.
• Record and follow S.O.P Protocols as laid out by Production and Roasting Managers.
• Must be available to work flexible hours and overtime on weekends and holidays.
• Must develop knowledge of GMP, SQF, food plant operations, and safety.
