Job summary

Chobani is hiring a Brewer for the night shift in Philadelphia. You will blend coffee and ingredients per SOP, coordinate with the Concentrate Production Supervisor for quality, and communicate pasteurization procedures to the process team.

The role requires working in a wet environment, overtime as needed, and strong teamwork with the production staff. You will also maintain records and operate forklift equipment as part of daily duties.

Job description

The Brewer is responsible for blending the coffee and other ingredients together per the Standard Operating Procedure. The Brewer will work directly with the Concentrate Production Supervisor on ensuring quality and consistency throughout the process. The Brewer is also responsible for communicating to the process team on the pasteurization procedure for each tank.

Night Shift: Monday through Friday 7:00 pm - 3:30 am

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Control flow of concentrate: wash equipment, load coffee, brew, extract, transport concentrate throughout the plant.
• Work with the R & D team on continuous improvement.
• Mix and blend ingredients to create various batches.
• Set equipment parameters for operation.
• Perform quality checks as required.
• Perform sanitation.
• Inventory and control ingredients.
• Maintain records daily.
• Operate forklift trucks
• Follow all policies and procedures, including Safety.
• Other duties may be assigned

Job Requirements:

• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Experience within the food and beverage industry is preferred.
• Must be able to work in a wet environment. Some exposure to cleaning chemicals.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime.
• Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to reach above shoulder level, climb, balance, kneel, bend over, etc.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to assemble small objects, boxes, etc.
• Be physically active for 8 hours without becoming fatigued or out of breath.
• Stand for 8 hours a day.
• Frequently lift and or move 40+ pounds
• Occasionally lift and or move 75+ pounds
• Frequently push 300-400 lbs on a rolling cart, sometimes at an incline.

The salary range for this full-time position is$22.25-$22.25, + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
