Job summary

Avery Dennison Corporation is seeking a Coating Team Manager for a 2-2-3 night shift (6:00 pm – 6:00 am) on-site. You will lead safety, engagement, quality, productivity and cost objectives within your assigned department, guiding a diverse team to meet manufacturing goals.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, problem-solving and collaboration with cross-functional teams, while upholding Avery Dennison values and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and a minimum of 3 years leadership, process improvement and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, support and develop a diverse team of talent.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations systems and processes; able to achieve operational results through delegation and teamwork.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues and implement preventative solutions; strong time and project management skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to Avery Dennison values (Integrity, Courage, External Focus, Diversity, Sustainability, Innovation, Teamwork, Excellence).

Responsibilities

• Promote safety as the most important value and enforce EHS policies; ensure participation in required safety training.
• Lead the shift to meet goals for safety, service, quality, productivity, cost and inventory control; recognize and reward performance.
• Organize, lead and control resources; engage teams to achieve objectives.
• Initiate and support continuous improvement to promote safety, engagement, quality and productivity.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, standard work, quality standards and audits; troubleshoot process equipment and product performance.
• Lead or participate in Lean Sigma projects to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.
