Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Alabama seeks a CNC Operator to run CNC mill and lathe machines according to engineering drawings. You will monitor performance, perform inspections and ensure safe, efficient production.

Responsibilities include set-up, program troubleshooting, tool setup, and quality checks using gauges. Reading blueprints and writing basic codes, you will support continuous improvement while complying with safety and quality policies.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 3+ years CNC experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
• Mathematical skills including basic arithmetic and metric conversions.
• Ability to read and use inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Must lift up to 35 lbs, stand/bend/reach for periods of time.
• Must follow all shop and safety rules.
• Must be a motivated team player with little supervision.
• Ability to work overtime and 3rd shift.
• Skills assessment will be required.

Responsibilities

• Program, set-up & run CNC mill/lath machines.
• Troubleshoot programs, make corrections and provide feedback to Manufacturing Engineers.
• Set up and use cutting tools and fixtures.
• Use gauges and measuring instruments to ensure quality.
• Read, interpret and write basic codes/programs as needed.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance on machines and remove metal chips.
• Check daily liquid levels of machines.
• Follow inspection and status reports.
• Comply with quality policies and work instructions.
• Train other personnel as needed.
• Other duties as requested by Supervisor and/or management.
