Job summary

CMI Group in Tempe, AZ is hiring CNC Operators/Machinists for the night shift in aerospace/defense manufacturing. Responsibilities include loading jobs, running programs, daily machine maintenance, and in-process inspection. You will perform tool changes, set tool offsets, and ensure traceability of parts with proper paperwork.

Qualifications include high school diploma or trade training, basic GD&T reading, and ability to work 40+ hours with a 20% night differential. U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding assemblies, dimensions, tolerances, symbols, notes, and GD&T per standards.
• Ability to read and interpret basic BP/ drawings and have inspection mindset.

Responsibilities

• Loading material/parts into the machine and running programs.
• Performing daily machine maintenance (fluid levels, cleaning, etc.).
• In-process inspection of parts.
• Make minor program changes, primarily offsets.
• Replace worn or damaged tooling (inserts, bars, end mills, drills).
• Sign off paperwork with part documentation (MOT, Inspection Traveler).
• Proper handling and traceability of parts to job number and split lot.
