Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an AWS Level 4 CNC Machinist in Lafayette, IN. This role covers 2 shifts, 7pm–7am, with 36 hours paid as 40. You will operate CNC/NC machines, read blueprints, and adjust CNC offsets to ensure quality. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered and relocation incentives may apply.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment with CNC machining.
• Ability to program CNC machines with Fanuc, Siemens or other controllers.
• Knowledge of machining principles, SPC, blueprint reading, tolerances and CMM reports.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC/NC machines, load/unload materials and perform setup.
• Interpret CNC programs and adjust offsets as required.
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and program issues.
• Work with team to meet production targets and maintain quality.
