Job summary

Caterpillar, East Peoria Building KK, is seeking a Machinist to operate, set up and adjust automatic lathes and related equipment. You will produce components that power Caterpillar machines, collaborating with a team and prioritizing safety.

The role includes CNC lathe operations, vertical turret lathe work, and cutoff/chamfer tasks, following TPM/5S principles to ensure quality and on-time delivery. Night shifts available with a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Technical school or equivalent education in mechanical discipline.
• Previous CNC/machine shop experience.
• Good communication and strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up and adjust CNC lathes to machine components.
• Manually operate vertical turret lathes.
• Adjust single spindle automatic cutoff machines for cutoff/chamfer on barstock/tubing.
• Apply safe working methods.
