Job summary

Mersen is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for the 3rd shift (9:30 PM - 6:00 AM) to join our manufacturing team. You will operate CNC mills/lathes and produce precision-machined components to exact specifications.

The ideal candidate has hands-on CNC experience, reads blueprints and uses precision measuring tools to ensure quality. You will work with engineers and programmers to maintain safety and efficiency on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• CNC machining experience or relevant technical training.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of basic machining principles, cutting tools, feeds and speeds.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and/or other CNC machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and GD&T.
• Load tools, set offsets, and make machine adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment.
• Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Make basic program edits and offsets as required.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and dimensional issues.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality requirements.
• Work effectively with programmers, engineers, supervisors, and other machinists to resolve production issues.
