Job summary

Safe Fleet is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator for the Third Shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM) in Saint Paul, MN. You will set up and run Haas vertical machining centers, read drawings, and program/edit G&M codes while maintaining quality and productivity in a fast-paced shop.

You will fault-find, perform routine maintenance, and uphold 5S practices to ensure safe, efficient production. Requires at least 3 years CNC experience and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Set-up and operate CNC vertical machining centers.
• Read and interpret component prints or drawings; perform calculations and solve problems.
• Proficient with calipers and micrometers.
• Understand G&M Codes and Macro programming.
• Enter and edit CNC programs for proper operation.
• Mount/align/secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces.
• Apply knowledge of machining to produce quality parts.
• Perform first piece and hourly inspections for quality.
• Demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Understand preventive maintenance for CNC centers and schedule maintenance.
• Maintain 5S and workplace organization at work centers.
• Complete parts to established production rates.
• Maintain metrics and daily KPI reporting for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost.
