Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Industries, Inc. (EBI) is seeking a skilled CNC machinist to read drawings, set up dual spindle Swiss-style machines, and produce precise parts.

You’ll revise programs, perform inspections with precision tools, and ensure parts meet production and quality standards. The role requires 3–5 years of CNC operation with setup experience, GD&T knowledge, and a high school education (machinist certification a plus).

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Minimum 3-5 years' CNC operation with setup experience.
• Experience with dual spindle dual turret lathe or Swiss machine a plus.
• Some programming software experience is a plus.
• General knowledge of GD&T and inspection tools.
• High school education or equivalent; machinist certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up tool, fixture, and material on CNC Swiss-style machine.
• Run first article and inspect using precision measuring equipment.
• Change tools/offsets based on cutting conditions; adjust programs as required.
• Use appropriate feeds/speeds for aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel, etc.
• Troubleshoot CNC programming and production issues on the shop floor.
• Perform post-processing of hardware as needed.
• Adhere to production and quality standards; read and interpret drawings.

Roles and Responsibilities

Principal duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Complete tool, fixture, and material setup on CNC Swiss style machine (Dual Spindle Dual Turret). Eurotech Rapido type machines.

• Running first piece article ready for inspection.

• Verifying parts by using precision measuring equipment.

• Changing tools and offsets based in cutting conditions.

• Using proper methodology and cutting tools to produce quality parts that adhere to production and quality standards.

• Using proper feed, speed, and other cutting parameters based on work piece metals such as aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel etc.

• Revising programs as needed based on engineering or production required changes.

• Participating in troubleshooting on CNC programming and production related issues on the shop floor.

• Other similar or related duties as required.

• Some post-processing of hardware.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Ability to communicate with others effectively in both written and verbal fashion.

• Experience with precision inspection tooling (calipers, thread gauges, micrometers, bore gauges, air gauges etc.).

Schedule

• Night Shift Schedule is Monday - Friday, 4:30pm - 3:00am

Compensation

• Salary Range: $22.00- $28.00 per hour. Minimum of Ten (10) hours of over-time available weekly. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

• Shift premium is 10% for hours worked on 2nd shift.
