Job summary

Prince Industries in Tampa, FL is seeking a qualified CNC Machinist for 2nd shift to machine precision metal parts for aerospace, using Twin Spindle/Twin Turret machines.

You will read blueprints, set up machines, inspect parts per print, perform routine maintenance, and document production logs. Requires experience with Fanuc controls and fluent English. OT may be available to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret process plans and blueprints to determine machining requirements.
• Inspect parts with standard gauges and inspection instruments per print.
• Document production logs and part identification for traceability.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance including coolant levels and machine cleanliness.

JOB SUMMARY

Manufacturing Precision Metal Products on CNC Turning Centers. Qualified to operate Twin Spindle / Twin Turret machines manufactured by Eurotech and Mori Seiki. Machining metallic and nonmetallic workpieces for the Aerospace Industry by performing the following duties.

2nd Shift Hours

3:30pm - 12:00am, Monday - Friday

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and interpret process plans, and blueprints to determine necessary machining, dimensional specifications, and operating requirements.
• Utilizes various types of inspection instruments to check work per print.
• Completes necessary job-related paperwork to include part identification, inspection documents, and production log.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 2 Years - Setup and Operating Twin Spindle / Twin Turret
• 2 Years - Precision CNC Machining
• Experience with Fanuc Controls
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Regularly required to stand and reach the duration of shift, 8 hours.
• Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
• Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycles work.
• Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Strong work ethic: Willing to work OT to meet tight deadlines as needed.
• Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately in noisy environments.
• Must also have close, distance, and peripheral vision, with the ability to adjust focus and judge depth. Color vision is required as well.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
