Job summary

Hirsh Precision is seeking an entry-level CNC Lathe Machinist I in Colorado to operate CNC and Swiss lathes under supervision. You will learn machining fundamentals, blueprint reading, and company processes while developing skills for advancement within the organization.

The role offers a path to Machinist II based on skill growth, reliability, and quality performance. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is paid out after 90 days, with a 10% premium for night shift and a focus on safety and precision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machining trade.
• Basic math skills including decimals, fractions, and measurements.
• Ability to read measuring tools accurately.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and Swiss lathes under supervision.
• Perform basic machine setups, tool changes, and offsets as trained.
• Load raw materials and monitor machines during operation.
• Produce parts according to work instructions, blueprints, and quality standards.
• Record production counts, downtime, and job-related data accurately.
• Maintain machine utilization and support production schedules.
• Inspect first-piece and in-process parts to verify conformance to specifications.
