Job summary

Alpharus Health in Lake Villa, IL is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our residential treatment team. You will assist nursing staff with client care in a residential setting, including vital signs, medication monitoring, and documenting readings.

Under RN supervision, you will ensure safety of clients and property, perform support tasks, and participate in a collaborative, patient-centered care environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required.
• Minimum 6 months related work experience as a nursing or medical assistant preferred.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in providing care to clients in a residential treatment environment.
• Under supervision of a registered nurse, take client vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, blood sugar) and document readings.
• Monitor clients' self-administration of medication and report changes to nursing staff.
• Conduct periodic checks of dorms, clients, and property to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Perform tasks such as storing supplies, changing biohazard bags, answering phones, photocopying, scanning and filing documents.
