Job summary

Alpharus Health is seeking compassionate CNAs and Medical Assistants to join our residential substance use treatment facility in Springfield, IL. You will assist nursing staff, take vital signs, monitor medications, and maintain safety.

Shifts are 12-hour nights, 6:30 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend. Requires CNA certification, CPR, and minimum 6 months related experience; CMA responsibilities included.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification required.
• Minimum 6 months related work experience in nursing/medical assisting.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience with adults/adolescents in a residential treatment center is a plus.
• Ability to work irregular hours, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Take client vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, BP, blood sugar) and document readings.
• Monitor self‑administration of medications and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist nursing staff in providing care within a residential treatment setting.
• Conduct periodic dorm checks and searches to ensure client safety.
• Perform general tasks such as stocking supplies, answering phones, photocopying, scanning and filing documents.
