Job summary
Alpharus Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time position in Chicago, IL. Location at 3828 W. Taylor, with a 7:00 AM-3:30 PM schedule that includes every other weekend and major holidays, following a 5-day rolling workweek.
You will support nursing staff in a residential treatment setting, monitor vitals, assist with medications, and ensure safety through dorm checks. CPR and CNA certification are required, with 6 months of related experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Minimum of 6 months related work experience in nursing/medical assistance
- Current CPR certification
- Experience with adults/adolescents in a residential treatment center is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist nursing staff in providing care to clients in a residential treatment environment
- Take client vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, blood sugar) and document readings
- Monitor clients' self-administration of medication and report reactions to nursing staff
- Conduct periodic dorm checks and client/property searches to ensure safety
- Perform tasks such as storing supplies, changing biohazard bags, answering telephones, photocopying, scanning and filing documents
