Job summary

San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team in San Francisco, CA. You will provide direct resident care under the Unit Manager or Charge Nurse, ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety.

The role requires a CA CNA license, a high school diploma (preferred), and the ability to communicate clearly in English. This part-time night shift offers competitive benefits and a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
• Current, active CNA certification in the State of California.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Strong understanding of written and verbal instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to support residents’ daily care needs while maintaining dignity and resident rights.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs, including grooming, hygiene, nutrition, activity, rest, and elimination in a safe and respectful manner.
• Maintain a clean and comfortable environment by supporting proper ventilation, lighting, and furniture arrangements.
• Promote residents’ dignity and uphold all resident rights, including the right to be free from abuse and restraints.
• Report any signs of abuse or violations of resident rights immediately to the Charge Nurse or appropriate personnel.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with residents, families, visitors, and healthcare team members.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding residents and their care.
• Follow individualized care plans and assist in providing restorative nursing care as directed.
• Monitor residents’ conditions and report any changes in behavior, appearance, or physical ability to the Charge Nurse or Unit Manager.
