Job summary

The San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care under the supervision of the Unit Manager or Charge Nurse. You will help with daily living activities, monitor conditions, and maintain a safe, dignified environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with grooming, nutrition, and mobility, reporting changes promptly, and upholding resident rights in a respectful manner.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program.
• Current, active CNA certification in the State of California.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs, including grooming, hygiene, nutrition, activity, rest, and elimination in a safe and respectful manner.
• Maintain a clean and comfortable environment by supporting proper ventilation, lighting, and furniture arrangements.
• Promote residents’ dignity and uphold all resident rights, including the right to be free from abuse and restraints.
• Report any signs of abuse or violations of resident rights immediately to the Charge Nurse or appropriate personnel.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with residents, families, visitors, and healthcare team members.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding residents and their care.
• Follow individualized care plans and assist in providing restorative nursing care as directed.
• Monitor residents’ conditions and report any changes in behavior, appearance, or physical ability to the Charge Nurse or Unit Manager.
