Job summary

Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside, Oregon is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support the Medical Surgical Unit on a .9 FTE night shift (7pm–7:30am) with rotating weekends. You will work under RN supervision, assist with admissions, discharges, vital signs, specimen collection, mobility, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License required at hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required at hire.
• Experience in hospital or long-term setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a high functioning team
• Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights
• Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests
• Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices
• Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference
• Other duties as assigned
