Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• CPR/BLS required within 30 days of hire.
• One year of nursing assistant experience.
• Completion of a nursing assistant training program.
• Current nursing assistant certification (CNA).
• Participation in MRMC nursing assistant training program.

Aufgaben

• Direct Patient Care: observe at-risk patients; report vitals, pulse oximetry, and non-invasive BP; perform glucose testing and EKGs as indicated; assist with safe transport and report changes in condition.
• Equipment Management: retrieve and clean equipment; follow unit protocols.
• Documentation: record intake/output, height, weight, vitals in EMR; document glucose results and patient activity.
• Environmental Safety: keep call light within reach; keep bed low and environment clean and safe.
• Transportation and Specimen Handling: collect and transport specimens per MRMC standards; move patients safely.
• Infection Control: hand hygiene before/after care; follow precautions.
• Education and Precepting: maintain CPR certification; precept new nursing assistants.
• Resource Utilization: assume responsibility for actions in patient care.
• Age-Specific Competency: apply growth/development knowledge; communicate age-appropriately.
