Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to provide essential patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse. This position is based in the CC004756 ORBG - Medical Surgical Stepdown Unit and scheduled for 36 hours per week with nights as the work shift.

You will assist with hygiene, bathing and feeding, accurately obtain and document vital signs, and communicate patient information to the nursing staff while maintaining patient privacy and dignity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required and CNA/PCT certificate completed.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care including basic hygiene, bathing and feeding.
• Obtains vital signs and documents findings.
• Communicates information to staff and maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Follows unit standards and performs other duties as assigned.
