Job summary

Samaritan Summit Village is hiring an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant for the night shift to support our residents in a compassionate, efficient manner.

New York State CNA certification eligibility is required; hospital-grade documentation and patient care skills are essential to succeed in this role. Minimum education includes a certified CNA program completion and high school level knowledge.

Qualifications

• One year or more experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Computer experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate information to supervisor and co-workers.
• Experience handling resident care tasks with tact and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Assists with tasks to care for our residents.
• Maintains a resident’s room with bed making and tidying.
• Assist with hygiene tasks and feeding, and document consumption records.
• Record basic resident observations accurately.
• Document type of care given legibly.
• Familiar with equipment used to move residents and take vital signs.
