Job summary

Elwood Care Center & Assisted Living is seeking a full-time CNA for the night shift from 6 pm to 6 am, three days per week, with holiday rotation. The position starts at $21/hour and increases with years of experience, with benefits including BCBS, Ameritas, and TransAmerica plans.

Vacation time begins after a 90-day probationary period. Essential duties include resident care, rights advocacy, communication, safety, infection control, and attendance at in-service trainings.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Prior geriatric setting experience preferred; training will be provided.
• Complete the 76 hour Nursing Assistant course and pass the written test with 80% or higher.
• Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Resident care duties per care plans and procedures.
• Respect resident rights and maintain privacy and dignity.
• Communicate and document observations to the care team.
• Support independence and socialization for residents.
• Maintain safety and infection control practices.
• Attend in-service trainings and follow facility policies and procedures.
