Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Float pool in Winchester, VA. This full-time role covers night shifts and reports to the Nursing Float department. The CNA will perform routine personal care tasks for patients under supervision and help maintain safety and quality of care across units.

The position requires Virginia or West Virginia CNA registry listing, BLS certification, and a high school diploma or equivalent. New CNAs may serve as preceptors after orientation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Registered Nurse Aide (CNA) required listed on VA/WV nurse aide registry.
• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association) required prior to orientation.
• Flu vaccination is required for Long-Term Care clinical areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine personal care tasks for patients under RN/LPN supervision.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment and promptly report problems.
• May act as a preceptor for new CNAs after gaining experience.
