Job summary

Chautauqua Health and Rehabilitation in Owensboro, KY is seeking a compassionate CNA for night shifts. You will attend to residents' needs, assist with bathing, feeding, dressing and ambulating, and record vital signs to ensure comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Aide Assistant program.
• Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA.

Responsibilities

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Record patient vital signs, assist with lifting, moving, and transporting residents using proper body mechanics.
• Recognize and report changes in resident conditions to a nurse manager and ask questions to clarify situations.
• Communicate and interact effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Report abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Assist the nurse with various duties as directed.
