Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with daily living activities and basic nursing care during the night shift. You will operate under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to maintain a safe and comfortable unit.

The ideal candidate holds a CNA certification, works with phlebotomy and EKG credentials if available, and has a general knowledge of medical terminology. BLS certification within 30 days is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CNA certification, Illinois approved.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• EKG certification preferred.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months' acute care hospital or physician’s office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic nursing care to patients.
• Maintain a safe environment under RN supervision.
