Job summary

Prisma Health's Roger C Peace Rehabilitation Hospital in Greenville is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care on the Rehabilitation Nursing unit during the night shift. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, specimen collection, EMR documentation, and keeping rooms and equipment clean and ready for care.

Completion of a nursing assistant program is preferred, and no prior experience is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a nursing assistant program preferred.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living and hygiene.
• Turns and repositions patients; may transport patients and assist with walking.
• Assists with admission; orients patient and family to the unit.
• Takes and records vital signs.
• Prepares patients for meals; assists with feeding and snacks.
• Collects urine, stool, and sputum specimens and delivers to the appropriate department.
• Completes documentation in EMR accurately and timely.
• Maintains cleanliness and order of rooms and areas.
• Performs point of care testing as trained and delegated by RN.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
