Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to support daily patient care on a night shift, with every other weekend and rotating holidays. This full-time role requires BLS and current Nurse Aide registration, with 36 hours per week and a pay range of $20.80–$31.20 per hour.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, documenting measurements in the EMR, and collaborating closely with RNs.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing with the State Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care and activities, including bathing, feeding, and mobility.
• Record vital signs and input data into the EMR accurately.
• Conduct rounding under RN guidance and communicate observations to the RN.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge processes and maintain patient area.
• Collect specimens and perform point‑of‑care testing as directed.
• Handle errands, supply stocking, and equipment cleaning.
• Assist with positioning, transfers, and nuts/skin care per protocol.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and age‑appropriate patient care.
• Demonstrate competencies for age-specific patient needs as required.
