Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Good Samaritan - Indianola. The NA will provide resident-centered care, assist with daily living activities, document vitals, and work under RN supervision in a long-term care setting.

12-hour night shifts are required, with every other weekend and holiday rotation. CNA certification is required; high school diploma or GED preferred. Night differential and education support are offered along with a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Required CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, toileting, grooming and dressing.
• Record vital signs and monitor health status; document resident interactions and outcomes.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and mobility using proper techniques and equipment; provide ROM and passive exercises.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and maintaining a positive dining experience.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry services to keep living areas clean and operational.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and participate in department committees as needed.
