Job summary

Sanford Health's Good Samaritan - Indianola is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support the care team under an RN's supervision.

This 12-hour day shift role offers 40 scheduled hours per week, with generous night and weekend differentials, opportunities for advancement, and access to education programs.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification with State Board of Nursing, or enrolled/certification within four months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities (bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, mobility).
• Record vital signs and provide psychosocial support.
• Assist with meals and dining, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Support transfer, repositioning, and walking; assist with range of motion exercises.
• Document care interactions and communicate changes to nursing staff.
