Job summary

Holy Family Medical Center - LTACH in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to help patients with daily living activities and provide basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN.

Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and an Illinois CNA certification; BLS within 30 days and EKG/phlebotomy certifications are preferred.

Estimated total compensation ranges from $18.00 to $26.68 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package and a 401K plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification (Illinois approved) required.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Phlebotomy and EKG certifications preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge beneficial.
• Minimum six months’ acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Provides basic nursing care as directed and maintains a safe environment.
