Job summary

Saratoga Medical Center, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for a 13-week contract at the Lower Buckeye Jail Infirmary.

Night shifts are 3x12-hour rotations with potential extension. You will perform duties within the scope of practice under supervision, document in the EHR, collect vitals, venipuncture, assist with ADLs, and prepare patients for examinations while ensuring patient care quality.

Qualifications

• Current valid CNA license issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing or a participating Compact State.
• PSV lookup via NCBSN portal or equivalent.
• N95 respirator fit testing.
• First Aid Certification and BLS.
• Minimum one year of experience in this position.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under supervision and documents in the electronic health record.
• Prepares patients for examinations, takes histories and vital signs.
• Performs office procedures, tests and examinations.
• Maintains supplies for exam/procedure rooms.
• Transcribes provider orders and schedules follow-up appointments.
• Performs venipunctures and basic lab tests.
• Assists patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
