Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA / L1MA) to support residents in our Assisted Living Memory Care communities in Missouri. You will safely administer medications under licensed staff supervision and assist with daily living activities, maintaining a structured, home-like environment for memory care residents.

The role requires completion of a CMA / Med Level One course with MO certification, active certification, and a willingness to train further

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Certified Medication Aide / Med Level One course with certification in the State of Missouri.
• Willingness to complete Med Level One training at the community.
• Active certification maintained in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications under supervision of licensed staff per Missouri regulations.
• Verify resident identity prior to administration; document dosage, time and observations.
• Monitor residents for medication responses; promptly report adverse reactions.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, meals and mobility.
• Record and report resident care, conditions, concerns, and intake/output.
• Recognize and report changes in resident condition to charge staff.
• Complete admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as required.
• Support coworkers by providing assistance as needed.
• Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areas.
• Answer phone calls, greet visitors, and assist with tours of the community.
