Job summary

Appian is seeking a Cloud Engineer - Shift 1 to be on the front lines of our cloud operations, triaging and resolving alerts from our monitoring systems. The role emphasizes collaboration with engineers, direct customer support, and contributing enhancements to improve reliability and efficiency.

The position requires a technical background, Linux command line comfort, and strong communication within a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field.
• Hands-on technical troubleshooting background.
• Foundational knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
• Experience with monitoring tools and 1st Line Support following runbooks and processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot, elevate, and resolve complex system and customer issues.
• Provide direct technical support to customers as needed.
• Proactively improve system health by identifying alert trends, enhancing monitoring, and contributing code to increase reliability and efficiency.
• Diagnose root causes and solve complex technical problems through hands-on troubleshooting.
