Job summary

UofL Health in Louisville, KY is seeking a dedicated unit clerk/clinical support professional for the night shift (7 PM–7 AM). Under RN supervision, you will perform clerical duties, manage orders, and assist with patient care tasks to support a safe, patient-centered environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and completion of Clinical Assistant/Medical Assistant/EMT training (preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a recognized Clinical Assistant, Medical Assistant or EMT training program (preferred).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Enrollment in or completion of nursing studies may be preferred for LPNs/CNAs.

Responsibilities

• Transcribes and computes physician orders and messages accurately.
• Assembles patient medical records and maintains order.
• Performs phlebotomy, EKG lead placement, and respiratory functions under RN supervision.
• Provides patient care support including hygiene, mobility, and comfort.
• Maintains HIPAA privacy and safety procedures and adheres to facility policies.
