Job summary

A BSN is preferred, with current RN license, BLS/ACLS, and supervisory experience being strongly favored. The role emphasizes compliance with regulations and performance improvement initiatives, while coordinating with the department Director and medical staff.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative oversight for the department’s service functions.
• Collaborates with unit Director/Manager; may assume administrative scope in their absence.
• Develops and implements departmental plans including performance improvement activities.
• Directs orientation and training of personnel; communicates with staff, physicians, and administration.
• Ensures efficient department operations; provides direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
