Job summary

Duke University Health System seeks a Clinical Nurse IV Leader for the Nights shift in the Labor and Delivery Unit at Duke Birthing Center, Durham. This on-site role demands expert nursing practice, leadership, and patient-centered care in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating education, guiding staff, and driving quality/safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes. Night shifts and two 12-hour clinical days per week are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Current NC RN licensure or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced and specialized nursing care within the unit.
• Lead educational activities and quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and coach nursing staff and oversee performance reviews.
