Job summary

Community Hospital of Huntington Park is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist for a full night shift on-site in Huntington Park, CA. The CLS will perform complex lab tests across hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, microbiology, blood bank and serology per CLIA guidelines.

Qualified candidates should have MT/MLS/CLT credentials, at least six months in an accredited hospital lab, and strong critical thinking with good communication. HIPAA compliance and patient-focused services are essential.

Qualifications

• Six months of hospital laboratory experience in at least two sections preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, service orientation and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Capacity to learn, work independently, and collaborate with team leaders.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate to complex laboratory tests in multiple sections per CLIA.
• Maintain QC procedures, document results and ensure patient safety.
• Train and orient new staff, participate in competency programs, and uphold HIPAA.
