Job summary

Labcorp in Johnson City, TN is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 10:00pm–6:30am with alternating weekends, performing routine and complex procedures to support patient care.

Minimum qualifications include an associate’s degree in a chemical/biological science or medical technology, with preferred laboratory testing experience and ASCP/AMT certification. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 3 months or more of clinical laboratory testing experience
• ASCP or AMT certification
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts as needed

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
