Job summary

Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform diverse laboratory tests, review results, and communicate findings to clinical teams. The role includes mentoring students and staff while upholding C-I-CARE and safety protocols to ensure accurate, timely results.

The CLS will work with chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood bank, and microbiology disciplines, supporting diagnostic processes and patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
• CLS license or certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical laboratory tests of varying complexity using standard procedures.
• Reviews results for accuracy and maintains testing turn-around-time standards.
• Communicates critical results to clinicians and documents interactions.
• Mentors students and/or junior staff as appropriate.
• Ensures safety and compliance with lab protocols and regulatory requirements.
