Job summary

MarinHealth Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform routine and specialized laboratory procedures in a hospital setting. You will process specimens, ensure accurate results, and adhere to safety and quality protocols.

Requires a BA/BS in a relevant science, CLS-L license at hire, IAMTAC within 30 days, and a minimum of three years hospital laboratory experience. Night shifts and full-time work offered with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or related science.
• Minimum of three years general laboratory experience in hospital/acute care, or three continuous years with Marin General Hospital.
• Lic Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS-L) required at hire; IAMTAC within 30 days; BLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory procedures as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure turnaround times.
• Follow Blood and Body Fluid Precautions and quality control protocols.
• Calibrate, maintain and monitor instrumentation; participate in proficiency testing.
