Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist I at Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. The full-time role focuses on performing complex laboratory analyses and maintaining high-quality standards in a patient-centered care environment.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science, ASCP/AMT certification, and several years of lab experience, with a track record in leadership and teamwork to support clinical decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in medical technology or clinical laboratory science or related field.
• ASCP or AMT technologist/scientist certification required (BB, C, H, MT/MLS, M, MB).
• Minimum five years of relevant laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and patient-centered care mindset required.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and procedures including quality control, specimen collection, processing and analysis.
• Assist in evaluating new or modified techniques and train staff on equipment and software as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols; maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely test results.
