• One year experience as a laboratory scientist preferred.
• Must obtain certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory procedures including quality control and specimen testing.
• Assist in evaluating new techniques and training personnel.
• Manage vendor relationships and maintain laboratory equipment.

Skills

Knowledge of current medical terminology

Skill in performing a full range of laboratory tests

Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships

Ability to communicate clearly

Education

Baccalaureate degree in medical technology or equivalent

Certification as Scientist from ASCP or AMT
