Job summary

Silfex Inc., A Lam Research Company in Ohio is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 2 for the night shift. You will operate advanced equipment to produce precision silicon components for the semiconductor industry, performing cleaning, polishing, etching, and texturing, while following detailed specifications.

This role emphasizes learning 3–5 processes, 5S workplace organization, safety and quality, and entry of production data into ERP systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED credential required.
• 1–2 years of experience operating equipment in manufacturing, cleanroom, or similar environments.
• Ability to work safely around hazardous chemicals and wear cleanroom PPE for 12-hour shifts.
• Ability to learn, understand, and follow work instructions and procedures.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines that support the manufacturing and finishing processes.
• Learn and perform 5S workplace organization activities.
• Develop proficiency in 3–5 designated processes through hands-on training.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, setup sheets and process specs.
• Enter production and quality data into batch records and ERP system.
• Ensure cleanliness of the area and perform general housekeeping tasks.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE; report incidents or hazards.
• Support shift passdown communications and operational priorities.
• Develop basic troubleshooting skills for equipment.
