Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System's Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs is seeking a Cleaning Technician for the night shift (Mon-Fri 11pm–7:30am) with every other weekend and holidays. You will clean patient rooms, operating rooms and public areas to maintain a sanitary environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and about 6 months of cleaning experience, preferably in healthcare.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of housekeeping cleaning practices preferred.
• Basic written and verbal communication abilities.
• Able to follow verbal and written directions.

Responsibilities

• Cleans patient rooms, operating rooms, recovery rooms, and public areas to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Operates carts, vacuums, buffers and extractors safely; reports equipment issues promptly.
• Mixes and uses cleaning chemicals following manufacturer directions.
• Restocks linen supplies and distributes to patient care areas.
