Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Cleaning Technician at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE. The role involves routine cleaning of patient rooms, operating rooms, recovery rooms, and public areas to maintain a sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

The position offers a 3pm–11:30pm schedule, Mon-Fri with every other weekend and holidays, and a $2,000 sign-on bonus. High School Diploma or GED is preferred, with 6 months healthcare cleaning experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of housekeeping cleaning practices is preferred.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills for positive interaction with staff and customers.
• Able to follow verbal and written directions is required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services assigned areas of the facility in a timely manner to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for patients, customers, and staff.
• Maintains and operates cleaning equipment safely (carts, vacuums, buffers) and reports issues promptly.
• Uses cleaning chemicals per labels and department procedures to ensure proper dilution and application; sources supplies as needed.
