CarMax is hiring a Fleet Driver I in Mobile. You will transport vehicles between CarMax locations and approved vendors, ensuring on-time delivery while upholding safety and DOT compliance.

Qualified candidates hold a valid Class A CDL, have 2+ years CMV experience, and can perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and securing vehicles in all weather.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL and 2+ years of CMV driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years; meet CarMax Driver Safety Evaluation criteria.
• Physical ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds; secure, block, and restrain vehicles; perform repetitive tasks including pulling, torquing, and tensioning chains, binders, and straps.

Responsibilities

• Safety-first: conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT and CarMax standards.
• Stay compliant: maintain accurate and compliant DOT logs and documentation.
• Transport with care: load, secure, transport, and unload CarMax vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Be accountable: move vehicles between CarMax locations and approved vendors using a company-provided truck.
• Deliver with purpose: deliver vehicles on time to support inventory flow and keep stores on schedule.
• Represent CarMax professionally: interact with vendors, store associates, and the public reflecting our values.
