(Night Shift) Chemical Flaking Stand-up Forklift Operator

Reporting directly to the Flaking Supervisor, the Chemical Flaking Stand-up Forklift Operator is responsible for operating equipment and performing duties to ensure the efficient operation of the Flaking department, meeting production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Schedule: 2-2-3 Rotation (Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, repeat). This includes working every other weekend.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent within a designated period after hire.

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of stand-up forklift experience; 2+ years preferred.
• At least 1 year of continuous employment with a company.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in ambient temperatures (high and low).
• Work 12-hour shifts with rotating schedules.
• Use ramps, stairs, ladders to change elevation.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Independently lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Work overtime as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts.
• Transport supersacks into storage after processing.
• Operate equipment such as supersack and filling machines.
• Perform washouts and changeovers.
• Follow procedures and document manufacturing processes.
• Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards.
• Perform autonomous maintenance tasks.
• Use computers for inventory transfer and documentation.
• Support continuous improvement activities.
• Follow safety, environmental, and quality policies.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety rules.
• Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Keep work areas organized and equipment maintained.
• Follow environmental, health, safety, and security regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
