(Night Shift) Chemical Flaking Stand-up Forklift Operator
Reporting directly to the Flaking Supervisor, the Chemical Flaking Stand-up Forklift Operator is responsible for operating equipment and performing duties to ensure the efficient operation of the Flaking department, meeting production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Schedule: 2-2-3 Rotation (Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, repeat). This includes working every other weekend.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent within a designated period after hire.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of stand-up forklift experience; 2+ years preferred.
- At least 1 year of continuous employment with a company.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in ambient temperatures (high and low).
- Work 12-hour shifts with rotating schedules.
- Use ramps, stairs, ladders to change elevation.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Independently lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Work overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts.
- Transport supersacks into storage after processing.
- Operate equipment such as supersack and filling machines.
- Perform washouts and changeovers.
- Follow procedures and document manufacturing processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards.
- Perform autonomous maintenance tasks.
- Use computers for inventory transfer and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement activities.
- Follow safety, environmental, and quality policies.
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety rules.
- Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Keep work areas organized and equipment maintained.
- Follow environmental, health, safety, and security regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
