Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Flaking Supervisor, the Control Room Operator is responsible for operating equipment and performing duties to ensure the continuous operation of the Flaking department supersacks, meeting production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Position Requirements

• A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, within a designated period following hire;
• Preferred experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings;
• Forklift experience (stand-up and reach truck preferred);
• Basic computer skills for navigating and data entry.

Performance Measures and Standards

• Inspect materials and products for defects and conformance to specifications;
• Record production and operational data;
• Operate machinery, including starting, stopping, and adjusting equipment;
• Weigh, measure, and mark materials and products;
• Maintain machinery and work areas, ensuring safety and cleanliness;
• Transfer materials using industrial trucks or hand trucks;
• Package, stack, and transport materials and finished products;
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts;
• Verify quality and weight of products;
• Operate sealing, filling, and other equipment as needed;
• Perform washouts and changeovers;
• Maintain safety, environmental, and quality policies;
• Support continuous improvement activities;
• Follow all safety and regulatory requirements;
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace;
• Participate in training programs as required;

Work hours are 7am-7:30pm on a 2-2-3 schedule.
